We must be playing internet tag I just posted about cutting wood.

Yea, thats the new one.I have not tried it.Does it take plain blades, or need the adapter? I had the older single speed, then the VS one that you had to buy an adapter for straight pins.Went to a Ryobi and then found a SWEET deal on a DeWalt 788.

It takes plain blades and it only takes about 30 seconds to change them

PS if I ever have to get a new saw, it will probably be a Dewalt 788 or another Craftsman

Not trying to strut my feathers Aaron, but the DW is Awesome.Keep an eye out in your local paper and pawn shops.I bought mine for 300.00 (shipping included) off an e-bay store. My soon to be twelve year old can run it by himself. They are really "user friendly".
But it's all about what you are used too.My oldest sons friend borrowed my Ryobi and likes it.I had plans of using it for an anchor on my bass boat (just kidding). But when you keep "upgrading" the older versions just seem to get harder to work with... Makes me think of John B's post..."the best saw is the one you own."....

I believe that to. and the first saw I've ever owned was a 12" Ryobi that came from home depot (It saw about $100) and I still have it.

PS do you know where I can get a new drive belt for my Ryobi belt sander

Thanks
