Default The missing blades Mystery

G'day all,
Just thinking out loud, I do that occasionally, think that is

What ever happened to blade numbers 4, 6, 8, 10, & 11 ?????????????

Also, this is the reason I get my blades from the US.
Carrols = $8.00 per doz Mach blades
Timbecon= $14.40 per doz, Olson RS
Carba-tec = $14.00 per doz Carba-tec

Ok, John, arnt the #s the size of the blades?. and the kind like Mach, Persian, skip tooth etc. the kind of blades.?and dang you are paying tons of money for a doz. your shipping is tons of money. I would stop cutting if I had to pay $14.00 a doz. maybe I am missing somthing hear. say , tell me what kind of blades you wont. I will order them from the usa. and then we can talk about shipping them to you. I would do that. for sure. your friend Evie

Hi John i buy all my blades from The Wooden Teddy Bear i'm not sure if they will ship to you or not but here is the link for the web site..The Wooden Teddy Bear, Inc. they sell Flying Dutchman and Olson blades.. also have bought some from mike's workshop. here is the link for that site to.. Silversmiths and Jewelry makers use high tooth count metal cutting scroll saw blades. #4, #6, & #8 silversmith blades are available from brand names like Pike and Herkules. These blades are pin-less, about 5 inches long, and my guess is they are mostly used in silversmith frame saws.

Do a google search where you are for silversmith tools and saw blades. By the way, Pike has a reputation for good quality 6/0 and 8/0 (that's right, 6-aught, and 8-aught) blades; more teeth per inch than my finest file.
