Default spiral blades

hi all
is it possible too get spiral blades with a flat end on them.
the spirals i am using at the moment have the twist on the ends.
they work fine but my blade clamps tend too bend the blade tip with all the inserting during inside cuts.if they had flat ends this would be elimanated.

I never could understand why they made them with the twist on the ends.

I have used dozens of spirals and found that if when I tighten them into the bottom clamp let the blade turn in my fingers as I tighten against the blade. The blade will turn and find the spot where you can tighten up and not bend the blade. When the top clamp will also tighten up with no bending.

I now have the New Spirals and it seems that customers have a lot less trouble to put them in the clamps. They are also a lot easier to control.

The flat end spirals are tops. I had just about shut the door on spirals until I tried the FE blades. Still doesn't make me a disciple for them, but when I need a spiral, it's good to know that these blades work in the CW40 and work well.

Hi Tony, I also have the twisted kind, and the flat end kind. the twisted kind I use my small pliers to flatten the ends. but the blade still twist every time I take it out and put in another hole. even on the flat end blades. I have a bottom feeder saw. so what I found works for me is. I first put the blade in the top clamp,(easier to find where it was clamped the first time) with the bottom clamp out, with the blade in it. then give a twist, and pull my arm down to put it in the bottom clamp, then tighten the tension. that seams to work for me. bending the blade in the clamp , I have found that is because I wont to screw it down to tight.just to hold it. it is a bother for sure. I don't like some of the clamp screws. they seam to press against the blade, and bend it while tightening. mine has a little bearing on the end of the thumb screw. so only the thumb screw tightens, not the end of it. gees. hope this makes scents to you. I could show a picture. your friend Evie
