Lightbulb dewalt dw788 stand mod

hi

I have looked in the forum and on the net to try to answer my question and came up empty handed.

"Has anyone done any mode to the Dewalt stand for the scroll saw ?"

like building a cabinet or shelf system to use the wasted space in the stand
also adding wheels to the stand so it is easier to move or really any other MOD that will make the DW844 and stand combo better

thanks for any help or any ideas

I put a 6" wood block under the back bolt down on my dewalt which tilts the front down so you can see the table better when cutting.Sorry don`t have a picture.

Does bees wax leave any residue on the wood that will not allow you to put a finnish on it? I use jonsons paste wax on mine , put it on and leave a bit then buff it off. Works for me and doesn`t leave any residue on the table.

I use Johnson's paste wax on all the iron in my shop. One can will last for years. I keep a wad of old t-shirt material in the can, so I always have an applicator handy.

Great tip Lee.... going to put this to use when I head out to the shop shortly. Sometimes the most obvious small things get overlooked.
