Default Free - People Powered Scrollsaw Plans

Found an interesting link to share.

Furniture

This would be a good project to get kids involved with a scrollsaw. Would be a novel way to demo at shows. And, it would be another way to get started at a low cost.

Remember before the days of electricity, beautiful work was done with saws like these. Building one, for myself, is high on my to-do list.

BTW, there are also plans for a scroll saw stand for modern saws, and a coat rack.

Hope someone finds this to be of interest.

One of our club members has an antique pedal saw. He brings it out at demos and kids love it. At the last one, I used it for a while. Was fun and didn't seem physically taxing to me, but man, my hamstrings ached for a week.

Thank you for posting that! Very interesting. I'll have to show it to my dad (that's were I got the scroll saw bug).
