This part will convert my 16" saw so it could use pinned and plain blades. Has anybody have any experence with this item? I cant afford a fine dewalt saw I have to stick with what I've got. I think it would beat removing the pin feeding the blade the reinserting the pin. I need opinions please. :

I put one on my first Craftsman (single speed--BIG mistake) saw a few years ago.The best I can remember it worked o.k. but nothing to brag about. You might check out Amazon.com and see what kind of prices they have on their 16" Ryobi's.It uses plain or pin blades.I bought one two weeks ago for my 12 year old son for under $70.00.Not as good as my 20" Craftsman but for the price.... Keep an eye out in your local paper and E-Bay also.I've got a Dewalt 788 coming any day now and only paid $300.00 for it (almost $200 off). Hope this helps, Jerry C P.S. I got to test the Dewalt today before my son came home from school (LOL). We both love it.He's been going all evening on it.Might have to start putting him to bed earlier....Jerry C Last edited by scrollpup; 04-04-2009 at 03:14 AM. Reason: Got my Dewalt 788 in today |
