Hello All, I am saving my money for a new 2+ HP router but my wife suggested to use my Dremel I only used it for grinding and cutting etc.. so I started to look at it. So What is your experience with it ? is it worth the money? Thanks for your input. |

I wish I could help, but I was wondering about that tool the other day. And I really couldn't see any reviews for it (I might have been looking in the wrong place, I wouldn't put it past me).

I've had a Dremel Tool since about 74, great tool but it won't do the job of a full size router. The load that's being placed on the shanks of router bits even doing multiple pass edging IMO is just too great. If you don't plan on spinning 3" panel raising bits I'd recommend Amazon.com: Triton MOF001KC/MOF001C 2-1/4-Horsepower Precision Router Kit: Home Improvement or a bit cheaper but without the features Amazon.com: Milwaukee 5615-24 1.75-Horsepower Multi-Base Router Kit Includes Plunge Base and BodyGrip Fixed Base: Home Improvement The Milwaukee is a steal at that price. I paid $160 for mine 5 years ago. Pat

Pat I have not used any of the Milwaukee tools in the past. Would you put them into a good class of power tools? I'm looking a plung routers and seems like a very low price for top end units.
