thank you one and all for your kind advice. I finally decided the best way to resolve my dilemma was to buy both saws. I just started making wooden quilts , so I think the Excalibur would be best for that and I'm sure the more inlay/marquetry I do I'll want the use of the tilting table. I am however a fretwork sroller , primarily spiral blades and I definitely need the function of the Eclipse for that , also I started making the combination cutting (3-D) flowers for which I would like the longer cutting stroke.
