Default Help with Hawk 220 vs

I hope some one can help me as to what I should oil on my Hawk 220 vs. as I bought it used with no owners manual. I bought the saw on the day they closed up and so can’t down load from their site any more. The saw is working great but, sure want to keep it that way. Thanks Kraig

Kraig, you could try Old Wood-Working Machines (OWWM) - Welcome for an owner's manual. I would lubricate any moving parts where metal meets metal about every 20 hours of use.

Mick is right. Just use a light machine oil like 3-n-1 oil or sewing machine oil and just put a little on the pivot points and on the brass bushings. This should keep the saw going for a very long time.

Default Lubrication adage!

If it rolls or rotates, OIL IT!

If it slides, GREASE IT!

Gears rotate but the teeth slide against each other so OIL the shaft and Grease the GEARS!

Be sure your 3 in 1 oil has no silicone in it. I use a turbine oil that is silicone free and does not gum up. They say the G4 doesn't need oil, I know that's not your machine, but regardless, I still have to oil mine once in a while or it has issues.
