Default Ridgid $299 10" Table Saw

To get our wood the size we want it a lot of us use a table saw. I have a Ridgid 10" big saw at my home shop, but I just purchased the new smaller one a few days ago.
Turns out this is a very good saw. Soft start, 15 amp, with a lot of good features. Right out of the box, there was very little I had to do in the way of adjusting the saw. Everything was as it should be other than having to move the scale indicator on the rip fence just a hair.
With the sliding table the saw will rip to 24" wide, and the miter gauge is accurate as well. This is a full size saw, so adding things like miter gauge extensions and other jigs are easy to do.
Is it perfect? Of course not. You need a stand for it. While it has wheels and an extension handle to move it with, using it does indeed require a stand. I adapted the stand from my Delta saw. The power cord could be longer as well, but overall I am very satisfied with it.
Dust collection is very good also. In my shop here I can't use a shop vac due to power availability, so I have a hose from the saw to a cardboard box and it works quite well. The saw weighs around 60 lbs.
Right now Home Depot is running no interest, no payments for either 6 or 10 months on $299 or more.
If you need a really good table saw, this one is well worth the money. Also comes with a lifetime guarantee.

I bought the next one up in size ($449 - contractor's table saw) and am absolutely thrilled with it. I didn't even have to "re-adjust" the rip fence scale indicator. It was, literally, completely ready to go "out of the box" and I do like the extra weight and the fact that it is on it's own stand.

Actually Merle, I got it just east of here in White Settlement, TX. There is a really big Home Depot there. Got to stay away from places like that.
