Mike I have had three saws, but as soon as I upgraded my husband sold off the old one. (usually in the pub - which is fine by me). The Hegner is so much better than the other two that I probably would never have used them, anyway. When we built our workshop it seemed that we would have enough room to do anything we wanted in it, now it becomes a little like an obstacle course from time to time, since we bought a mitre saw, a cross-cut saw, a bandsaw, a planer thicknesser etc etc. He ho!!! I now have 7 scrollsaws beginning with the old Delta scrolling jigsaw that I obtained back in the 70's because I had used my Grandfathers and it was the same. I then added the Delta Q3 which I used for several years and then came 3 Delta 350s because they were a good deal. There is also a 20" Delta that I bought for a larger project I had going. Finally I just purchased an RBI 220. I thought I was doing a good deal as couldn't get Delta parts anymore. Hopefully someone will take over the RBI parts. I started out maintaining at least 2 saws because I had a store where I worked during the day and my shop at home at night. Also since I did a lot of custom cutting, needed a backup in case of a problem with one.

Right now I only have one Scroll Saw a Dremel 1680 and it works great I have had no problems with it at all, I hope to upgrade to the big yella saw later this summer if I do I will keep the Dremel for a back up saw and taking to shows and club meetings.

Thanks everyone for the responses. A variety of reasons pro and con for having more than 1 scroll saw. Just as I imagined there would be.
