Has any one had a problem with the blade clamp the upper one when you tighten the knob tight it bends the blade where the end of the knob hits the blade.

Unscrew the knob and sand down/file down the little pin in there just a little to make it flat. It is not hard steel it will sand easily. I found that it was rounded on my machine several years ago and this would bend blade ends severely enough to sometimes break them.

thanks I will do that when I looked at the other end of the clamp there is a hole I think there is a allen screw in it should I turn it inward .

No, just flatten the screw end unless the allen head is sticky out of alignment..Let me know if this helps.

the end of the knob is flat I did sand it down a little but when I tightend the knob down the blade would bend not outward towards you but bend to the left when you would tighten the knob tightwhere the knob meets the blade.

that was happening to me. I tried sanding it down, turning it 1/4 turn. I ended up buying a new piece. Only cost a couple dollars from DeWalt and it's fine now.
