I know - you don't use a miter guage on a scroll saw. But I have gotten such great info from the folks on this board, I thought I's throw the question on here, also. The miter gauge, on my Shopsmith is getting old & worn and it is hard to get a square cut from it. I could just order another one from Shopsmith, but I have been looking and reading about the fancier versions from third market vendors -- Kreg, Incra, JDS, and Olsen. Even Shopsmith sells one version of the Incra, albeit not one of the winners in the various reviews. I've kind of narrowed it down between the Kreg and the Incra 1000SE. Any one have any opinions on either? Sorry - next time I'll keep it to Scroll Saws

I don't have an opinion on either of the two your looking for. But I too was disappointed with the miter system on my table saw. I do segmented bowls and you have to get pretty accurate cuts for it to come out right. I bought the Rockler miter sled. I'm not saying that I think you need this one. What I'm trying to say is, like me you will not regret getting a good one. When you need 22.5 degree cut and it's perfect the first time you will wear a smile all day. Mike |

tgiro I have the Incra 1000 SE, I make my own picture frames and this is the best thing I ever bought to help in making accurate frames. You can see on the frame in the picture all miters come out perfect, makes projects fun.
