Default Another RBI Question

I have a chance to buy an immaculate RBI for $500. It looks to be the smaller unit to the G4 (20 inch) I originally bought a task force for $55. to see if I would like a scroll saw, burned through it, but found I love working with scroll saws. I am also into building mission furniture, not that has anything to do with scroll saws. I just want feedback. I could buy a Dewalt with light and stand for the same price. Anyfeedback would be appreciated. I know nothing, so I am a complete beginner.

Depending on the age and condition it sounds like a good deal as a new one still lists at over 1K. Why are they selling it?

There is no smaller version of the G4. The G4 is a completeley different design. The bigest feature is that the lower blade clamp on the G4 is in front of the table angle adjustment so it is real easy to get at without reaching around anything.
The first Hawk that I used was the 20 inch and I thought it was a great saw.

I would suggest you go to Hawks web site and look at the features.

Not too bad..I'd try and negotiate lower on the price.

The machine looks unused for the most part. The owner died and the wife is selling it to make ends meat. I was told he paid about $1200 for it.

Well, I bought the hawk and it is all but brand new with all the accessories. I played with it tonight and must say, I am thrilled. Even better, for the same price I ended with a 12 drum sander and a set of ten straight edge table clamps as a bonus. I can't shake a stick at that! Although, I may shape one!
