Default Dewalt & dust collection

I have been using a Sears 18" saw for 4 years now and am ready to step up to a Dewalt. I'm really looking forward to my new saw but I am concerned that it does not have a dust collection port. I have my saw set up in a spare bedroom and have a shop vac connected to it right now and it does a very good job of keeping the dust level down. What do some of you scrollers do with the Dewalt and dust? Thanks for your input.

I just run the hose down the arm and use velcro to attach it. I have a 2nd one tied to the stand under the hole to catch dust that falls through the bottom. They both Y together to a larger hose and on to the dust collector.

I just let the dust pile up and sweep it up or suck it up on occasion, but I am not in the main living area.A shop-vac running, unless its a Fein vac would take all the fun out of scrolling for me, shop vacs are pretty noisy, but to just clean up the sawdust after a cutting session its not to bad.

I'm like Dale - but, my saw is in the garage which will, soon, be insulated so I can work year round (right now I only scroll if the outside temp is 25 F. or above!

My saw is in the dining room until it warms up some. I got tired of buying kerosene for the garage heater. Like Dale I just sweep up once in a while. ( or my 5 yr old son does it.)

Can you get your 5 yr old son to give lessons to my 8 yr old daughter?
