Angry Does anybody know how to ...

Hi there...
I have an issue with my Dremel ss. Around Christmas my husband decided to come in my wood room and start messing with my saw...He pulled the black...I am not sure what it is called...thing where the air comes through that you adjust to blow the dust away...anyway..he popped it right off...Can't seem to get it back on does anyone know how. Right know I have been using it without but it makes it alot more difficult.

Thanks

Brenda

Try holding the first bulb in hot water to make the plastic more plyable. Then while it is still hot try to pop it back on.

A hair dryer heating up that connector bulb will work too.

Mine has come off twice on my Dremel. The first time I got it back on OK and the second time I broke the fitting that screws into the saw. Right now I have it rigged up to work while I wait for the new one.

Make sure you heat it first (my mistake was not heating it the second time) and don't force it too hard.

Brenda, the heat idea is a good one, but, it is still going to be a pain getting it popped back on. After you heat it up try a lubricant to help it slip on. I know what you are going through. A new one will be just as hard to connect too. Perk

Brenda, Liquid soap will help.
This will dry out and not let gravity effect the positioning of the blower, which can happen if you use graphite or silicon. DAMHIKT

My husband is not allowed to touch any of my tools. Some people laugh at this but others understand.

Yes that is the deal now..I had no idea how to use a ss before I bought it and he laughed at me saying I thought you knew what you were doing. I didn't and I am learning...I think I am doing fine. However I would sooner let my 4 yr old in my wood room than him. He is just not careful with things and this is the kind of stuff that happens. Oh well, I'll get it fixed and will not have to worry about it again...Lol

We only try to make the tools better. Every guy wants to be like Tim the Tool Man and modify tools for more power or performance
