Hi, I have a 10" Ryobi bandsaw... my problem is finding blades for it... it requires a 67" blade from 1/8" to 1/2" width. This size is available from Home Depot if I order it. I would like another source. I have studied up on coments and they all lean towards Timber Wolf blades. I don't mind paying more if I can get better cutting performance from the saw. I cannot resaw and get a satisfactory cut. Recomended are 1/4" 4 tpi skip tooth and 1/2" the same? I like using the bandsaw for small project cutting instead of running my big table saw. I am open to any sugestions.... , flyrod

Hi Flyrod Check around in your area to see if you have a place that supplies custom blades for industrial saws. I have a place here in Richmond called Industrial Saw that custom cuts my 105" 3/4 3 tooth blades for 10 bucks each. I do alot of resawing with very hard woods and these blades last a good long time depending of course on what I cut. I also find that I can greatly extend the life of the blade by spraying PAM cooking spray on the blade to help with lubrication. Mike Midlothianwoodworks.com |

I agree with Mike, look in your phone book for a place that does saw work and see if they do band saw blades. I get them for my Delta which was made in 1973 with Oregon Saw and they last twice as long as ones I purchase at the local wood store and these only cost me 8.00. Arthur |

i agree, see if you can find a person that can custom make your blades, if possible i also know that i have 9inch(?) delta table top band saw and i have been using vermont american blades on it and so far i am very happy with the ability to cut just about anything i put through that saw, it requires a 561/4 blade so finding one is not hard, we cut stacks of three at a time on some of our projects and these blades have stood the test, made a straigh even cut across the project that starts out at about 9/16 of an inch, so it is about and inch and a half thick, no problems, just a thought for you, if you can find one, give them a try, i do believe i have seen that size as well when looking for a blade for my 14inch band saw |

Your best bet is to call Suffolk Machinery @ 1-800-234-7297, they make Timberwolf blades. Great prices and fast shipping. Tell them what saw you have and what you intend to use the blade for any they'll hook you up. Buy two blades and they treat you like you just bought a hundred. Great folks. Pat
