Steve - might you be thinking of the systems made by Onieda and cleariewcyclones? Bill's Cyclone & Dust Collection Research - Cyclone Plans Oneida Air Systems - Cyclonic Dust Collection Here are some other ideas if you haven't discovered them already. Trash Can Cyclone Lid by Drew McManus http://www.woodworkingonline.com/wp-...07/Upgrade.pdf I have set up several DC systems in my shop. One is with the 30 gallon trash can and the lid, which is connected to the bandsaw and lathe. Another is called the Dust Deputy from Oneida that does a great job. I can move this one around to different small tools as I need them for clean up.

Hi Y'all, I knew that there was one out there like I had seen and there are several models. Here is the info on the one that they had down at the plant where I used to work. Cincinnati Dust Master model#50S 1/2hp. Has anyone else seen these dust collectors before? I am waiting to hear back from one of their dealers in Pittsburgh.I found the site online and did a locater and that is supposed to be the closest dealer to me. As I get more info I will pass it along. Steve

How about the low end Delta dust collector? They are about 120.00.

Steve, do you have a used equipment dealer anywhere near you. For something like this, I would try Timber Equipment here in Mesa, but that's a long way from you.

Steve. I have never seen these before. Who makes them and where can I see them? And what kind of cost?

| Near the top of my wish list is the "Blower Vac Conversion Lid." It seems to me the perfect product for the small single person shop. It satifies the dust issue and has the vacuum to clear the machines. I have the Harbor Freight dust collection unit which is a monster, but the problem is that it doesn't have enough suction at the 1 1/5" router or saw point. It works great for under the table saw with an adapter plate for the 4" hose. For my planer, scroll or router the shop vac works much better. Biggest problem is that the filter is constantly getting plugged and the vac passes some of the finer dust back into the air. Everyone should read the BillPentz.com site to understand the difference between "shop-vac" and "dust collection." Steve. |
