Saw an ad for a Mastercraft Scrollsaw at Menards for $179. Anyone have one of these or do you know anything about this brand of saw. One of my 4-H kids is looking for a saw in this price range. As Menards is 45 miles from me I don't get there too often in the winter (hate driving on the lousy roads we have here!) and have never seen nor checked this saw out myself. Thanks for any input. Mastercraft is a Canadian tire store brand. There are two types. Mastercraft and mastercraft maximum. The maximum is a little more expensive, but it has a few more bells and whistles. I personally have the mastercraft one(not the maximum) and it's not a bad little saw. If you check out the canadiantire.ca website there is a bunch of reviews on there for each type of saw. Hope that helps. |

My mistake---it is a MASTERFORCE Scrollsaw that they have advertised. Anyone know this brand by chance? I do have a Masterforce mitresaw. Picked this up at HD for a clearence price of $79 awhile ago and for what I have been using it for it performs quite well.
