Default home made drum sanders

Hi all. well I got this idea this morning, told hubby about it, and with in 1 hour he helped me get them made. the small one is maid out of some gas tubbing or maybe it is a air hose ?? off my Datsun , with a 3/8" treaded bolt push in it. and washers, and nuts on both ends. the bigger one is a rubber roller, that was left over from my hubbys boat trailer. it is what the boat rolls up onto the trailer out of the water. it has a 1/2 bolt in it, and hubby welded a washer on one end they both work great. I just have my adhesive back sanding paper on them for now, you can buy these rubber rollers in long pieces for about $8.00 sooooo I m thinking v drum I have a couple motors, just need some bearings and a belt, a box and shazamm. any way hear they are. your friend Evie

Evie:

I like the idea, especially for the small one. I'm going to try the 3/8 and maybe 1/4 and 1/8, if I can find the rubber tubing to fit the bolts.

thanks,

Dave

Way to go girl, the home made tools are a lot more fun to use. Its good to see the home made stuff that works, not all of them do.
