Default Blades?

Hi,

New guy here. Trying to make sense of the different styles/configs of blades............

I'll be doing some jewelry, spec., some domestic hardwood and mostly exotics, and am wondering about which blades to use. I looked at the chart in the sticky but it doesn't really make sense to me.........

Since I just dropped the dime on the DW788, thought I would try the FD blades and try and get the max potential from the saw.

Thanks for the help.

rich,

not to sound biased here but the fd blades are wonderful, we use mostly the ur brand now and only the ur's for all our fret work, so far i have not broke or ripped out a single piece scrolling anything from the most detailed to the simple, if i am cutting down harder woods i prefer a pgt or rpgt, we have been using the olsen brand for that and so far they have stood the test and worked extremely well and this is something toni uses to cut down her garden butterflies or anything she cuts in maple or oak.

cutting and making dust with a dremel 1800 and 1830

Rich,
There are lot of great blades out there, Flying Dutchman, Olson, Pegas, etc.
I use some from all of them. For my real small stuff I still come back to the Olson 2/0 reverse.
