Default breaking blades

lately i am having problems with breaking blades.for a while i used one brand with little trouble, but whe they ran out i used another brand, and right from the go they started too break.even before i start the saw,i just put on some tension and they break.if i lessen the tension the cut will not be square.the saw i use is a scheppachdelta cut.i have ordered more blades from the u.s hoping they will be a stronger blade. can anyone shed some light on my predicament.

lets make plenty of sawdust; not broken blades.

Tony . I use Flying Dutchman blades with great success and they are made in Germany . Is there not a European outlet available to you ? There are a few UK scrollers on the forum . I would ask them where they get their blades . Sorry I'm not familiar with your saw to advise you asto what to check . LOL .

Not sure what saw you have but it sounds like you may have gotton some bad blades. I use Olson and Flying Dutchman blades.

I have been using FD blades for a long time with no breakage problem except for one batch of SR-3 blades. Like yours, they often broke just below the upper clamp on my DeWalt before turning on the saw or upon release of the clamp after a cut. So I would move the blade up and after a few inside cuts the blade was too short to clamp in. No similar problem with any other brand.

I use almost only Olson blades and they work like a champ, 48 Christmas ornaments so far this year

Hi Tony,

I would suggest following Sylvia's advise. Monday, I had a problem with blades. I gave Mike a call and he solved my problem on the spot.
