Ok I upgraded my saw a couple months ago from a dewalt to the Excaliber. I liked the way the dewalt had a easily lifted arm and easily lowered. But with the ex21 I got to fight with it to raise and lower and find that it has slowed me down greatly. I have not seen any articles to make this easier to raise and lower I am sure it is just a loosening of a bolt or something but don't want to mess it up either... Thanks in Advance NYScroller |

G'day Ny, On the left side of the saw, as you are looking at it face on, there is a flat nut with a bolt which has a screw slot in it. This adjusts the tension on the top arm. Just get a spanner to loosen the nut, and adjust the tension with a screw driver, when the arm lifts and stays in the upright position, tighten the lock nut.
