Hi all - Saw a video of the Beall Wood Buffing System at Woodcraft.com. Looks like a terrific system. Thinking of purchasing for my B-day next month. I so far have turned only pens - but - I was thinking it might do well for intarsia pieces. Does anyone have any comments? Good? or Bad? Thanks George |

And I love it for turnings, Pens to Boxes to Bowls, you get a great finish that is easily renewable....I have only used 2 times on INtaris projects, have had great results on different shades of woods, but on painted or stained wood, not great, you can buff there it quickly....lite pressure is all you need...I would recommend the Beall without a doubt, mine is mounted on an old motor I had, but I think the 3 buffs on the lathe would be o.k., except if you are using it on bowls or the such, it would be hard to get access all the way around the bowl with the Beall mounted on the lathe....Dennis
