I try to do as much of the sanding as possible before cutting to avoid any chance of breaking any delicate fretwork. That way the only post cut sanding I need to do is to remove a few fuzzies and maybe some glue residue. I'll hand sand these, if they are too small or delicate for power sanding, but most of the time my random orbis sander works fine. it's variable speed, so I can turn the speed way down to make it less aggressive. My ultimate goal would be to have no post cut sanding, but that doesn't happen very often.

Thanks everyone for your responses. I was telling my friend about my sander shopping and he had one he doesn't use so he brought it over..What a good friend.. But you got me to thinking about the sanding mop thing..seems like those things would be to aggressive on some of the delicate stuff..but I guess I might look into getting one.. Thanks again Kevin
