Default New Blade Clamp for RBI saw

I just purchased and installed this blade clamp Scroll Saw Retrofit Items for my RBI 220VS saw and so far I like it very much. It is quicker to change blades for fret work and does seem to hold the fine puzzle blades more securly when cutting puzzles. I would like to know if anyone else has tried this system on their saws.

If that is the first one pictured it looks like the Delta Quick Clamp. You should watch the video about the Delta Clamp on my web site on how to use it. The Delta directions do not give a lot of detail on how they are adjusted correctly. I have a picture file under Reviews, then on the video page under the P-20.

Thanks Rick, that is it exactly. I have it pretty much figured out but every little bit helps.

I bought one two years ago and have loved it ever since. Initially, I was over tightening the clamp and the screw came unthreaded - When I call Pozgai's they were extremely helpful and sent me a new screw free of charge.

No Mike, this blade clamp is only for the top on the RBI. There is not one for the bottom clamp.

Yes Bill that is a copy of Delta's Quick Clamp. I have a Delta P20 with about a bazillion hours on a set of them ( both top and bottom). Never had a problem and when you get used to them they are great for fret work. I believe they are one great clamp and wish my Hegner22v had them as well.

To bad Delta quit making scroll saws they could have made a few upgrades an had a very competitive saw. One thing that would have made the P20 more user friendly and more competitive is variable speed.

Anyway it comes as no surprise you like your new clamp.
