Default How old is this tool?

Scrollers,
Anyone know where I could look up how old a certain Craftsman tool is by model number? I've got a couple of things I'd like to know about. If I look for parts it comes back with an exploded diagram and parts list (of course it's old enough that none are available now), but just out of curiosity I would like to know what year (or range of years) the model number would equate to. Is there a site other than Sears that would have this information?

Bruce
I would try owwm.com These guys have information about all the old woodworking machines with dates of manufacture for most of them.

Bruce, I agree with David as I have found very valuable information about old tools and manuals on that site......Mike

I bought a Coleman camp stove at a garage sale for $1. Course it didn't work when i got it, but I figured what the heck they are close to indestructable. I ended up calling Coleman to find out it was made in the early 50s. Maybe you could try calling?
