Default Craftman Belt/Disk Sander

Need some help on a craftman belt/disk sander model # 137.215360. I have to replace the belt on the pully, so in order to do this I have to remove the disk plate. And that is the problem, it won't budge, I have taken the set screw out, and even tried to pry the plate off but that doesn't work, this has to be done before the belt can be replaced. Any sugestions would be helpful, Edward

Default Disk Sander Shaft !!!

Edward : I don't know exactly what you have , but try turning it on its side and put some wd-40 on it overnight , soak it real good !!! and try the next day take a small hammer and start tapping it all around the shaft , maybe this will help !!!! You may just have to work with it and be patience !!! Marshall

Do you have the owners manual for the machine? Might the shaft and disk have a left-hand thread? Try PB Blaster available at auto parts stores. It is more effective than WD40.
