Hey Jim. Just a humorous note in spite of all our chaos. Does the fact that I love Mexican food qualify me to move down there? If Sara Palin thinks that living next to Russia must qualify her on foreign policy, liking the food of a particular region certainly must qualify an individual for citizenship! And I can't even speak the language so I would expect all the perks of private language tutors to boot. Yuk Yuk.

..And if I hike to the top of Popocatepetl and peer north through all the hot air rising I bet I can see the droves of disgruntled 'gringos' heading south, clutching their Mexican phrase books and fighting to cross the border - hehehe!

Only one slight problem with your food theory. Its a little publicized fact - at least here in Mexico - that there is more hot chile consumed in Texas than here!! Long reign Taco Bell!!!

Keep smiling...

Thanks Rolf - and just for an update - having followed up Alan's tilt comments here's my latest findings

Table tilt: set at 8 degrees - any more for me and I'd be worried out pieces sliding about

Note: Height of saw table from floor now at 40" - I'm going to extend the feet by another 3 - 4" to take my original design up to this height which suits my semi-upright working position better. At the moment its on blocks!!

Stool height at 30 - 32" " - in fact I'm back to temporarily sitting on my Black & Decker workmate which was giving me so much hell before!

Feels like I'm in a totally different ball game, I even find changing the blades much easier!

I just don't know why the guys that sell these as 'tabletop' standing units at zero tilt don't think about ergonomics. I can't see me ever wanting to go back to a horizontal position unless its to stop exceptionally big pieces from sliding around.

(Alan - having just read that last phrase again you can make what you like of it - LOL!)

In my opinion this is definitely a must have mod!
