| Thanks Alan.
I just found a Dewalt that is 1 year old with only 10 hours use locally for asking price of $275.00 That sounds pretty good to me as the best deal new I found was at Amazon for $430.00 i believe with free shipping. |

| Both the 30 inch Excal and the dewalt sound like good deals to me. If the 30 inch excalibur is the purple model (actually any model), its a great deal!Id jump on that one!! Since the yella saw is local, go take it for a test drive, and have cash in your pocket, and a vehicle to haul it home in! Both are great saws.

| Here's a photo of the Excalibur. $400.00 as it sits. It's a 1996 model. Would you take this one or a 1 year old Dewalt 788 for $275.00. I don't fathom needing a saw this large as most all of what I will do is quite small.

| I would go for the old style Excallibur. They have a very good reputation and others here sure like theirs.

Terry | Terry, I think you should take the Dewalt for sure, and I will take the Excalibur off your hands. for $400.00 you betya. you have a good deal on both saws. but if you don't need this deep of a saw. I will take it. I have a Hegner. but will be more than willing to give that big babby a good home. your friend Evie |

I do think that terry has a good choose on his hands to make, in which saw to buy ! Either saw would probably be a good buy !! Good Luck on your decision !! !! Marshall

| For ease of use and because of age, Id go with the Dewalt, but either one of those and you will be happy Im sure. If you think you might need 30 inch throat, then you know which to buy. Whatever you do, dont hesitate to long, good deals sometimes are hard to find!
