Default News of the saw

First I got a message on Wednesday that the saw was ready so I ran over yesterday all happy. Got there and they had not even looked at it. They called me by mistake. So the technician promised that he would look at it first thing this morning.
Just got the call a few minutes ago and the motor is finished. It is burned to a crisp.
NEVER, EVER use your saw in an electrical storm...I think the first fuse blew with a power surge and it over worked from there. The second fuse did not stop anything and the motor blew then.
But at least they will honor the warranty because the bill was dated 2007. They have a saw there which they are testing right now. Apparently it was taken out of the box to show a customer but never sold. If all goes well I will get a call later and can go and pick it up as early as tomorrow.
Hopefully I can retrieve all the screws that I put there from my easy lift before they dispose of it.
Diane

Didn't hit the house but was too damn close. I shut off the computer and thought I would pass the time by cutting!!
Just got the call from the stupid service center. They don't know what I mean by the screws that go with my easy lift. They never heard of that and I also want my light.
SO...I have to drive to the city again on Monday morning for 8 to try and retrieve my things off the old saw. Hopefully it didn't go out like planned tonight.

Yes it would but they have none in stock so I get the other saw to replace mine. I will see it on Monday and find out if I want it or not. It is suppose to be new just not in the box.

G'day Diane,
That's what you call good and bad news.
Glad it's all sorted.

Some times these service centres amaze me.
The simple solution to all problems would be to take the motor of the saw they have in stock and replace yours with it. Order a replacement for your saw and when it comes replace the motor they stole of their machine. All fixed and only a motor down.

Too complicated. I'll take the saw they have. Better run as good as mine did.
Will find out Monday. This is the longest weekend I've lived through yet.

Diane, when you go for your easylift bolts, grab the thumbscrews for holding the blades in if they allow you to, an extra pair of those may come in handy later on. Also, check the new ones table for flatness, your old table might be flatter, they surely would let you swap them out i would think if you needed to. Congrats on having good record keeping, if I ever look for a reciept from a year ago, Im wasting my time! It sounds like your service center is one of the more decent ones there is, its nice hearing there still are a few good ones around nowadays.

There's nothing like 200,000 or so volts to aggrevate motors and drives. You don't even have to be directly in the path for a bolt to affect things. A near miss can still foul things up. Glad your allright and that the saw is replaceable. I hope you can retrieve all your add-ons.
