| My Wixey Arrived My Wixey arrived in the mail today.Got it at a good sale price. Wixey Digital Angle Gauge - Woodcraft.com
What a wonderful little rig that thing is. I thought I had my tools set up pretty darned close with the methods that have been presented over the years . Welcome to the wonderful world of electronics with digital readout . I set up my table saw and band saw and scroll saw and drill press in short order with it and every one needed to be adjusted from my original settings. .
I know it will come in handy quite often when accuracy of angles is required.

| I pick one up too. I agree - it is one of the handiest little tools for the price. Don't let it get too cold. In my unheated garage this past winter, the LCD display didn't come on until I took it in the basement to warm up. But then it worked great.

| G'day Bill,
I must get myself one of those. I have had it in the back of mind for a few years now but the price was a bit on the heavy side.
Max, we have the opposite problem here. Let is get to hot or leave it in sunlight and the LCD screens go black and you have let the thing cool down before use.
Mobile phones and gauges in cars tend to do the same thing on hot days. |

| You know I got one of those some time ago. Just before I remodeled/added to my work shop. It must be in one of the boxes I haven't put away yet. Need to get out there and look for it. Man getting old is tough.

| So you set it flat on your work surface and zero it, then stick it to the blade and it measures the angle relative to the work surface? Am I looking at the description correctly? That seems like a nifty little gadget to have. How does it work with thin blades/drill bits? Do you just hold it flat again the bit or blade if it's not big enough to stick the magnet to? Thanks,
Josh

| It will stick to a #9 blade very nicely for the scroll saw. For the Drill press I put a half inch drill in the chuck for it to stick to but a much smaller one would have workrd fine. .

| Great tool, been using one for a long time. I use it to set the table on the saw when doing inlays and setting machines to 90 degrees. VERY accurate! Well worth the money spent. |
