When a fuse blows, it is usually a short somewhere in the system. My first guess would be the switch, but vibration can loosen a poor solder joint or break a thin wire on a circuit board. Hopefully they will find if fast and that it will be inexpensive to repair. I'm glad I have a second saw.

Wow that is a major bummer! I have thought about a second saw but I am not sure where I would even put it!

Wait, don't they have special clinics for people addicted? You can go to the clinic and use their saw, yeah that's it. No scroll saw, I'd have to go out in the shop and lay in the saw dust and just kinda roll back and forth till it came home...

There is a pile of sawdust where the saw was last night and I may sleep in that corner tonight.
But on a happier note, there may be a God after all....
Bought the saw in March 2007 which means that the warrenty is finished March 2008. The saw doctor tells me that if my bill says 2007 then the warranty is good until 2008. So he will honor the warranty if I bring in the bill. Will be fishing for it tomorrow when I am home.
Writing this from my daughter`s house.

Don't want to put you on a downer but March 2008 is long gone, like 5 months ago.
But hopefully they won't be bad and fix it for free anyways.

The offer I made is an open one, so don't be shy about it.
And Barry (if my memory serves me right) is right: NO WAY you can have the lathe!!!

Although: I have a Craftsman Electronic 10" radial arm saw for sale at a good price (unfortunately shipping would be horrendous for anyone not in the neighborhood).

Talk to you soon,
Marcel

What do you mean I can't have the lathe. It's only for a few weeks Marcel.

The place on Belanger said that if my bill is dated 2007 they don't care what month they only care about the year. The warranty will be honored until the end of 2008. I am taking the bill out tomorrow and will fax it to them.
Everybody please keep your fingers, toes, feet, hands, eyes and ears crossed for this one.
Diane

Good luck Diane! Hopefully you will be adding to that sawdust pile before you know it.
