Default Blades in Canada

For some reason its been hard to find good blades locally. Either had to get cheapies or pay for shipping, exchange and duty. I found good selection and high quality blades at BusyBee. Check them out, its worth the drive.

The price of blades is something I have not paid attention to. Its like sand paper you just grab some.
Finally noticed what blades sell for in the magazine adds. *&%&&, I have been paying $9-10 a dozen for Olsen blades at the local tool store and crappy tire is the same.
I will be ordering blades in the next few days.

Ben, I can sympathise with you regarding blades in Canada. After much research and price checking, I've found that Mike Morlach is the best supplier. His prices are reasonable, his shipping is great and he sells a good blade to boot. When I added together, the cost of blades in Canada, the shipping and the GST, Mike's blades still came out cheaper with shipping and the exchange on our dollar.

Give him a shot, I'm sure you'll be satisfied.
Marsha
I tried adding a link to his website but it didn't work, but if you click on the 3 M in the message above mine I'm sure you can find his site.

Ben

I get my blades from the US and have never, to date, had to pay duty on them. Of all those I have tried, I like FD blades best, seconded by Niqua which are also made in Germany and I can source them reasonably locally.

When I started, I tried umpteen different types of blades until I found the right ones for me. It is a trial and error thing. Persevere, once you find those that suit you, you can order in bulk, which saves money.

I also order from Mike Morlach and never paid duty yet. His prices are great and the delivery is also the best. Check him out.

Thank you Diane, just shows how the little things add up. I still have 14 unopened packs of Olson blades. Thats $120-140 BUCKS. Mike gets my next order.

I was charged duty from a Rockler order. They actually charged me twice on one order because they broke it into two different shipments. I guess they didn't have some things in stock.
