Default New flap sanders

I recently purchased a Product called a Mac Mop it is sold by Klingspore.
Item Display Page
What a great product I bought the 7" 180 and 240 grit.
They make the Intarsia sanding very fast and easy. I think it works better than the normal sanding mop.
I used a pneumatic drum and then the mop to finish.

Also what is the vibration like. I have tried similar sanders before and all are in the bottom of a drawer.

Looks like it might be worth a try! I have the mop sander from RJR and am soon going to need to get a new one. Is it paper backed sand paper or cloth? would it work in a drill press?

They do NOT vibrate at all. I normally use it on the end of my Sand-Flee ( it has a chuck ) But for a club meeting I had a Craftsman motor (1725 rpm) screwed to a board
and put a chuck on the end of the shaft. I clamped it to a table top. They will work in a drill press also.
RJR had them on display at a woodworking show but had sold out. That is why I went directly to Klingspore.

I have never heard of a sanding mop, but the flapwheel is actually my favorite Dremel attachment. I use it when I need a groove for something like the inside of my chopstick case or wooden usb drive mod. Just sand a groove into both pieces, line them up, and you have a nice little hollow for your case. It is a whole lot easier than trying to carve it out with any other tool that I have come across.
When I am able to purchase more tools, I hope to obtain something a bit larger. After Googling the sanding mop, I see that it seems to be an interesting device as well.
