Hey y'all! I've narrowed down my selection to the Dremel 1830 and the Delta SS350 for my replacement saw. They're in my price range, and they both seem to be good saws from what I've read on here. I'll be doing mostly fretwork, hopefully with a lot of detail before long. Any thought on which is better for a starter saw? Thanks, Josh

I don't know about the Delta SS350 but a Dremel 1800 has a nice added attraction that is quite useful. (I think) The disk sander on the side. I have an Excalibur now but keep the dremel just for the disk sander. The Dremel 1830 dose not have the disk sander. the SS350 and Dremel 1830 look like the same saw. I would try to fined an 1800 if you can. About the same prince.

I would opt for the Dremel as Delta is no longer marketing their saws and support is becoming very difficult to get for their saws.
