Default An EX21 Question

G'day all,
I finally did some "real" scroll work on the Excalibur, and boy does it make cutting bevels easy, with the table staying level and the machine tilting

BUT!!! Can someone please tell me what the back to front movement of the blade should be. It seems excessive. When placing a block against the back of the blade and moving it through it's full stroke the block is pushed 2mm away from the blade. I was having trouble cutting nice corners, and was cursing myself.

Is there any way to minimise this movement?

Thanks all.

I am not sure what the movement should be but I imagine it is the same as old Yella since the blade pivot mechanism is the same.
I havent done a bevel cut yet so I can hardly wait.

Hi John: Yes, there is a way to minimize the movement you mentioned. I had a long talk with Ray at Seyco this morning and he walked me through several processes that got my EX-21 purring like a kitten. Way too long a process to go through here, but if you're interested let me know and we can exchange email on the subject. The only tools needed are a couple of allen head wrenches and a 7/16" wrench.

G'day Tom,
Thanks for the info.
I used Ajay's instructions and a dial gauge. I have it pretty damn close to those tolerances.

You're a pearler mate
