Default Lamp for my EX21

One thing I miss from my Ryobi is the built in LED work lamp.
It was just a spotlight built into the blower hose.
I went to CanadianTire today....sorry to my friends down south,,,, I found this LED light for BBQs

I wanted LED because is runs so much cooler.

I took the hold down off the saw. Something I do with all my scrollsaws.
Then I removed the spring clamp from the light.
I put the goose neck into the hole where the hold down clamp was.
It works like a charm.

Next step is the vacuum.

Outstanding Carl. Why didn't I think of that. I actually have a very similar light for my BBQ Grill (Big Green Egg), which I have never used. I just jury rigged a piece of oak and bolted it down to my stand so that I could clamp down my magnifying flourescent light. While it does work, it interferes with setting the EX-21 at an angle. I'm gonna try your setup for sure. Any idea what the battery life should be when using the light?

Very clever! Unfortunately I can't get used to the bluish white of the led lights. So I have the clasic ring lamp magnifier on my saw with a daylight bulb.

Not sure of the battery life ajay. There are 4 LEDs and the batteries are 3 AAA
I figure worst case scenario, I will have to hit up the dollar store once a month.
I dont scroll that much

Great Idea Carl, that's why you get the big bucks

Now all I have to do is find one like it here in Dallas. Shouldn't be a problem, BBQ is second only to football (USA football) here in Big D. GO PATRIOTS!!!

Great idea Carl,
I was wondering the same thing as Ajay regarding battery life.
Though I doubt if I could find a BBQ light in Oz. We don't need to see what's cooking or when it's done. Slap it on and two tinnies later it's cooked

Very nice custom mod! How do you like the light it provides? I have the fluorescent magnifier because I am half blind as well.

Now that's some creative thinking!! Great idea Carl! When I ever get my own EX-21, I may just do the same. Thanks for sharing your insight!

Wow that hurts. I paid $29.95 for mine LOL

That is an awesome deal!
I was thinking of using one of those dollar store magnifier sheets on mine.
See that is what happens when you live in the south. A whole different line of stores.
