Olson has had the PGT reverse forever. It is a super blade, but they don't make a blade smaller than #5. I have also used the Olson machined series. In that I use a #3. It is still easier for me to make fast sharp turns with the Olson blade than with the #3 Ultra. I still have a couple of samples from Mike so I will try again.

My 2 cents on the FD URs. They cut straight, accurate, and clean. I'm using a #7 on 1" thick oak and it's cutting great. I'm also using #1 on 1/4" BB. Same blade I used on a piece of 1/4" oak. Its still cutting strong. The only issue I've had with these blades was when I wasn't paying any attention while feeding the blade through the wood and bent the snot out of it. That was not the blades fault. The only concern I've had with the URs is that they are fast, and if I'm not careful it can get ahead of me. Personally, I wouldn't worry about buying the URs. Kevin |
