This question is for jigsue, Sue I was looking at your home made sanding mops. They look like a great money saving idea. Did you cut up the rubber part of the drum and use it for spacers? I was looking at the picture but couldn't tell. ![]() Thanks,

Hello Mike There are no spaces, just about seven layers of sanding cloth, they curly up a bit, but do the job fine. I have been using the one I pictured for about 5 years, it still works well - and polishes your fingernails, too!! Sue |

Sue, where can I see the photos of your sanding mop. I was planning on buying one but always appreciate shop-made tools.

Thanks Sue, I'm going to give this try. I like shop made tools myself, and think they overcharge for sanding stars and mops.

Sue, I am glad you have had good luck with your own sanding mop. I didn't. If I could have found a left hand thread bolt to use it would have worked. I ended up buying the mandrel from Klingspor's. I added extra strips of sandpaper and spaced them with hose washers to make a fluffier mop. Earl |
