May be the laser is for cutting and the blade is the sight.

Mayhaps this way when some fool asks us if we did this by hand or used a laser we can reply BOTH! I kind of take it as a compliment when they ask me if I used a laser to cut out one of my projects.

Does it just project a dot or a line. If its a line what do you do on curves?
Still doesn't make a lick of sense. Of course putting a beer in an insulator when it is 35 degrees F. out and your are wearing gloves doesn't make much sense either.

I would think that the laser would be more of a distraction than an aid.

Maybe this is because the insulator provides a more stable base for the bottle. Just a wild thought that popped into my head.

G'day Tom,
It projects a line. I spose you could say you cut on the line because no matter which way you turned your timber the line would still be in front of the blade

This was the same thing with the jigsaw, a laser line was projected out in front of the machine, but of course if you twisted the saw the line was still in front
