Just got my first scroll saw a dewalt 788. The instruction manual states to keep an eye on the brushes but nothing else. Does it need lubed on the moving parts? Most are coverered but where the blade goes in those parts could at least be oiled/greased. Do It? Or leave it alone? Thanks in advance Scott in Arizona |

Hi Scott, I've had my 788, 5 or 6 years and I've never oiled it anywhere. The brushes take along time to wear out, mine are still fine. I wouldn't oil where the blades go in it might cause the blade to slip from the holder. Good luck with your new saw and happy scrolling. Marsha

same as all the others have written give it a good vacuuming after each session pay particular attention to the area around the switch as dust in there does tend to cause problems with the switch and if you live in an area with high humidity coating the table with a good NON SILICONE wax will help keeping it from rusting, I do this at least once a month
