Finally got back in the garage to do a bit of cutting. Started out okay, made a couple cuts, shut down to start another cut in an internal hole and my saw took a crap on me. Won't run at all. Seems to be switch related. Any ideas on how I clean the switch? Tried sucking and blowing with my shop vac to no avail. Any advice from fellow scrollers would be appreciated. Thanks Pat |

There are 4 screw type things that hold the black plastic piece where the switch is. Not for screw drivers, but for allen wrenches (I think! I know them when I see them ) Remove the plastic and that lets you to the area you need. Sometimes just removing the dust in here helps. You may need to tighten the attachments. Theresa |

Just tried that. Don't ya know my owners manual is already packed away. I have an idea where that box is but that box is buried as I have everything stacked and packed in the garage waiting for my truck. It is somewhere in the middle of a stack 8 ft. by 15 ft x 7 ft high. I think maybe my cutting may need to wait a bit as I already have my back-up saw packed in there somewhere too!

The connection between the on / off switch is a plug in type (under the red on/off button). When that happened to me, I took the red one off and just plugged the two connections together tighter. I think some vibration shook them apart.

You can get the owners manual off the DeWalt website if I remember correctly. Theresa |

Said the heck with it---looked up Dewalt factory repair shop and will take it in. They say should be a one day turn-around. LMAO had to call Woodcrafts first to have them look up the purchase as of course my warrenty is in the same place my manual is. Be glad when this move is over and done with! I did try pulling it apart at the switch and disconnected/reconnected and nothing happened. Hopefully it is something simple that this simpleton overlooked. Thanks for the help! |

Good Luck! and you are lucky it is only a one day turn around. When I took mine in, it was a couple weeks if I remember right! And then when I picked it up he told me nothing was wrong with it. I was having the same problems as you - ended up fixing it myself. Theresa |
