Default My Saw Arrived today!

I got my Delta SS350LS today. Great saw! The Quickset II (tm) clamps take a bit to get used to, but it's a breeze to go from hole to hole now when cutting inside cuts. The only downside was one nut for the stand came without threads. I had to look through my parts bin to get one to fit.

Man is this thing smooth! Little or no vibration compared to my cheapo Central Machinery saw. This delta cuts much nicer than the HF junk, too. No need to force the cut... of course that could be the FD blades I got from Mike too.

I'm happy as a clam all covered with sawdust!

Ed

I have to get used to this saw and the FD blades. It's a whole new world using a real saw with real blades. I thought I'd just pick up where I stopped with the cheapy I bought a couple months ago, but now I have to be a bit less forceful. With my cheap saw and cheap blades, I had to push a bit to get it through even 1/4 inch ply. Now, with my Delta, I have to almost hold it back.

As soon as I cut something worth posting, I'll put up a pic or two. Right now I'm starting over from the word go.

Congrats on getting a decent saw. Not that I have anything against inexpensive (or entry level) saws, but cheap saws... Well, I guess the only thing we can do about them right now is to say "caveat emptor".

Will look forward to pics when you get to it.
