As some of you know I've been researching the Hawk G4 for some time now. I've even used Hawk's customer referral service to visit a local owner and try his saw out. Well I was impressed with the saw but wasn't sure I wanted to pay buy one just yet. I mean with the accessory kit and shipping you're talking around $1400. So I've been keeping my eye out for a "low mileage" used G4. I found one that a man bought in May of last year on Craig's list. He claimed he had only used the saw 30 minutes when he first got it and just hadn't had time to use it. Well he sent me several pictures via e-mail and the saw truly looked like new as far as I could tell. I even called Hawk machinery and they were kind enough to look up the purchase info on the saw by the owner's name and verify the purchase date and location. I mainly called them to find out if the warranty was transferable and they told me that it wasn't. I got them to quote me prices on the more expensive parts such as the motor, speed controller etc. so as to get a better idea of how important the warranty was. When I told them how much the man was asking for the saw the guy at Hawk basically told me to jump on it. He said there wasn't really that much usage of the warranty on the saw and even quoted me some statistics. I don't know about you folks but I'm impressed with a company that is so willing to HELP a stranger even if it may mean losing the sale on a new saw. I've talked with these folks twice now and all I can say is I wish they built cars, washing machines, you name it. I hung up the phone feeling confident that these folks would be there if I ever needed them. Anyway, I paid the seller $800. total for the saw, accessory kit with light etc. all original paperwork and shipping from California to Georgia. I've had the saw a couple of days now and it really is a nice piece of equipment with virtually no signs of use. I've been very busy and haven't had much time to use it yet but I sure do like the near verticle blade stroke. Proud new owner of a Hawk G4, Ralph |

Congrats on your new acquisition. The Hawk is one of the best regarded machines here, so I would expect you to have a great time with it. Tor
