I have a DW788. I haven't had any trouble with it in the past. However, I am now having a problem aligning the table with the blade. I have read in past threads where this can be a problem. Is there a solution or fix I could do? I would also like to thank the participants on this forum. I have had a long layoff from scrolling and after getting back my sawing wasn't what it was when I left. So I would like to thank Rolf in the FD thread for reminding me that FD blades need to be good and tight and Neal More in the blade slipping thread for reminding me the top/bottom clamp screws sometimes need a little sanding. You would think I could remember the basics, but not me. Now if I could just get the table to stay level. Keith |

RickH has a section on the 788 on his site:www.scrollsaws.com. Look for DeWalt tuneup on the left side. I used the tips there to set mine up when I got it.

I once had a DW 788 and I could not get the table to square. I found I had to adjust the preset 0 stop a little bit to the right and then the table would square on 0. Even though the table was not level now and actually tilted a bit it was square for some unusual reason.
