Default FD Blades

I am cutting out a bunch of the snow flakes for gifts, 4 at a time, out of 1/4" plywood. I usually go through 2-3 olson blades, reg rev tooth. I just tried one of the new FD blades . I used only one of the new FD blades.
Happy Scrolling Holidays.

FD are the only blades that I use. I never had great success with the Olson blades. Had bought them when I bought my first saw because I didn't know there were many brands out there. When I ran into problems Mike helped me out and sent me samples. Convinced me for sure.

I've been going through up to 3 Olson pgt blades cutting my paper stack (less than an inch thick), both no.5 & no.7 blades.

Since switching to the FD blades (I buy them under the "Niqua Speed" name) the difference is amazing...one blade lasts for all of the cutting & is still not dulled that much by the end.

So much for Olson blades lasting alot longer.

I don't use anything but FD. They last so long I start to feel sorry for MIKE.

I'm also a FD man. I've tried Pegasus, Olson, and other brands but nothing works for me like the FD-SR #3 or #5. Buy then by the gross.

Same for me on FD blades. They are the best I have ever used.

Each to his own, but I still prefer Olson's. They may not stay sharp quite as long, but I find the thin ones break less frequently, but more important to me, I can make much sharper turns with these. They seem to be a bit more rigid. I think it all depends on what you're cutting. I only use flat blades and only do portrait style cuttings with some very tiny areas and many sharp turns.

I used Olson for the same reason as Mike, then I started using FD-PSR and I like them better.

Since Mike sent my sample pack, FD is the only blade I buy. The polar blades are the best for intarsia, at least for me.
