Getting ready to make some clocks for Christmas and have a coup[le of questions. The saw was vibrating pretty bad and I fixed it by tightening the upper arm's oil cup. Question How tight should the arm pivot screws be tightened? Broke the tensioning bolt somehow and I replaced the Quikset II Chuck with a spare. Question How tight should the pivot bolt be. Decided to install my spare Quikset II clamp. Now I am getting a lot of vibration, probably because I haven't used the saw for awhile. Tightened the upper arm bolt and that helped a lot. Question How tight should you tighten the Upper Arm Screw? (where the oil cup is.) The Shoulder bolt holding the Lower Blade Clamp had to be removed to replace the clamp. Cleaned some corrosion and put it back in. Lost the E Clip so I wrapped some wire into the slot until I can find a replacement. How tight should the screw be? I am having a really bad problem with the lower 1/4 inch of the blade breaking off.
