Just saw a entry in my Klingspor catalog for the Fein Multimaster Tool. It looks very impressive, and pricey. Does anyone have any experience with this tool? Please share your thoughts. Chase

I saw the same thing, Chase, in my catalog. I've requested one to review, but haven't heard back from them yet. I've heard incredible things about them in the past, though! As soon as I give it a whirl, I'll let you know! Bob

For what its worth. A cabinet maker/remodeler friend of mine has one and says it is extremely handy in his line of work. I'm not sure of its price/benefit effect for scrollsawers. I do intend to borrow his tool this winter to degrout and regrout our shower. He says it really works well to get the old grout out. Earl |

I have one and it does live up to the hype. I bought it because I need to repair some tile work in my bathroom and it will prove to be excellent for that purpose. I have used it to do some sanding, and with the right grit paper it is a work horse. I don't know how usefull it would be for the scrolling hobby but for around the house it will fast become a much used tool. The tool is well made, the attachments are a bit pricey, And I am cutting my own sanding pads from the rolls of hook and loop that I have for my Sand flea. The only thing I dont like is the metal case, I would preffer a plastic one but that is not a big deal.

From what I've seen, the plunge cutting saw blade looks super handy. I wish I had one when I regrouted my shower, the dremel version leaves a lot to be desired.
