Default Anybody own an Excalibur 19" scroll saw

Hi eveyone,

I just bought an Excalibur 19" scroll saw on EBay for $142 (+ $55 s/h). It's an old one, from the early 1990's with a 3-speed pulley system, but it is in excellent condition (or at least advertised as such) so the price was right.

Does anybody have any experience with this saw that could offer me tips about potential issues? Mechanically, I believe that it is very simiilar to the 30" saw except for the throat depth.

Now I can now stop bugging eveybody about what saw to buy and start asking questions about the craft (and/or art) of scroll sawing.

-Alan

Alan, I would check with Rick at www.scrollsaws.com.
Will it take pinless blades?

Thanks, Mick

There is a great deal of valuable information on that website.
The saw does take pinless blades.
